I have installed Mc Afee antivirus Software in my system.
But when I connects a pendirve or insert a CD rom, the system could not check that it contains viruses Automatically.
Where is the settings for this utility in Mc Afee.
Please inform me.............

I'm not 100% sure about McAfee but with most antivirus software there is an option in the context menu (right click on any drive/file) to allow an on demand scan

it checks automatically...go to settings of mcafee security center 'settings' window..and click on restore default..
if this does not resolve your issue, then it is known that your mcafee files have been corrupted by some virus, so remove it and install again....or better have norton internet security 2007
Such a setting is not possible but there are some softwares like avg which say that u'r comp is infected as soon as the infected file is copied on to your comp....
