What's Eating My Net Usage ????

I recently installed 'Zone Alarm' antivirus software. and there's a little red/green bar that indicates the level of upload/download being performed on your PC. Even when i've got no programs opening the little green download bar is always flickering up and down very rapidly. What could my internet be using that i don't know about?

What's Eating My Net Usage ????spyware remove

Well that's a very difficult question to answer accurately without seeing your computer first hand. There are lots of things that could be doing this. Spyware is one of them so make sure you have anti-spyware software loaded on your computer and are running it. Also, a computer in general has to send and receive packets for normal network connectivity, so it could just be harmless ping information to make sure you are still connected. Check in the Windows Task Manager "Networking" tab and see how much of your network is being utilized. That will tell you more information. If it's less than 1%, you don't have anything to worry about. Probably just normal stuff. If it's above this, you can see in the "Processes" tab which processes are actively doing things while your computer is idle. This should give you more insight as to what processes are active.
