ThreatFire is NOT a traditional signature-based anti-virus such as Norton, McAfee or Avast and should NOT be used in place of one!

Threatfire is meant to be used in addition to a signature-based anti-virus for additional protection against brand new threats.

"Regular" anti-virus detects malware by a file signature...think of a signature as a fingerprint that the anti-virus has in its database. When a new piece of malware is released onto the internet, it can take several hours up to several days for an anti-virus to update its database in order to be able to detect it.

ThreatFire looks for suspicious behavior instead and alerts you to it. This can be useful in the detection of just-released viruses and other malware. And according to Symantec, there about 1200 new malware variants, each and every day.

ThreatFire adds a nice 2nd layer of protection. But I certainly would NOT recommend that it be your 1st-line or only means of malware protection.

the top link is user reviews with threat fire ...not so good the other link is for free security ...go with avast ... also u can try avira .. type into thier browser ... works great .. both links same site ...been using this site for years one of the better download sites there is ...
