What is wrong with my computer?

ok, it might me be a virus i dunno im no computer genius but it first started yesterday when its really slowed down and pop up started showing up, then some window that saids msgr. or sumtin kept popping up when i wanted to shut it down. today when turned it on its was a really slow start up, my background disappeared, well first its stretched out and there was no desktop icons, after a while the icons appeared and the background dissappeared. it happened a few days ago when i had a trojan or sumtin in there so i restored the computer to its original state, after a couple days its was fine until yesterday. anybody know wut it could be and how to fix it? this is my second pc and i do not want to get a new one cuz i cant afford it right now, i lost my 1st pc to a virus and i dont want to lose this one! can u also recommend any good spyware, antivirus, pop up blocker, spam remover software

You have a Trojan, and I dont mean the rubber thing. Go purchase Norton Antivirus. The free online ones suck. Ad aware and Spybot will not catch this one. They will just bog down your system. Norton slows things a little, but it gives good protection. $39.99 last time I checked.. Or download online. Good luck
