Random laptop resets?

hi i have a fujitsu siemens amilo laptop, sometimes at random intervals normally just after startup it just resets itself sometimes keeps doing this time after time until i leave it for an hour or so.

i know that pc's suffer from this from excessive heat build up in components but obviously my laptops architecture is created in such a way to dissipate heat, the laptop is also on a level cool surface.

i have ran all antivirus software and come up with nothing

any ideas what it could be??

Are you running windows xp , and does it restarts when you connect internet or something.

Anyway,, enable the firewall by right clicking on the properties of network connections mentioned as the one you use it for internet.

Go for the battery life option in bios(press f2 or delete when computer turns on)instead of the performance option.
