Browser hijackers are nefarious little things and IE is prone to them.
The first thing you need to do is clean the IE - do this by going to http://mybranding.info/googlepack.php - download and install and you will get the excellent free version of Spyware Doctor which will root out the unwanted piece of software.
The next thing I advise is to get yourself into a position whereby this will not happen again. Do this by going to http://mybranding.info/firefox.php and downloading FireFox which is a much more secure and quicker browser than IE.
Then you are good to go!
