I've tried downloading the software, but it won't let me because I have another software on there (the NOrton from Dell). So, then I tried to delete the Norton software and it won't let me. I'm stuck. I really need this software, as you all might now. Any ideas?

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool

google "uninstall nortons" ... i would probably opt for a different antivirus like avast or avg, that are free, for some reson i dont trust online and isp antivirus protection when they make money from ads and there could be a possible conflict of interest there ... but maybe im paranoid .. good move on the nortons though i wouldnt have that on any machine of mine its a system hog and practically a virus itself as evidenced by its dificulty to remove ...
you can also run msconfig to disable the nortons. Make sure you back everything up first, but there are options to disable it there. Start%26gt;Run%26gt;msconfig
Uninstall the software that you currently have and don't want. Then download the software. In my case, for example, which from the sounds of it are very similar. I didn't have any issues. I uninstalled the Symantec Internet Security/ Anti-virus (Norton) and then signed into Comcast (my ISP), and downloaded the software. In my case, it was broken up into the Firewall, Anti-Virus and Privacy Service. I downloaded and installed the programs starting with the Anti-virus, then the Firewall, and lastly the Privacy Service. You will likely have to reboot a couple of times, after the install of the AV and firewall likely.
I understand, and you want a good anti-virus program.
